Arsenal 1-0 Liverpool FT
Arsenal have given new life into their title bid as Abou Diaby’s header saw them end a three-game winless sequence with victory over Liverpool. This was the last time Arsenal have to play team in the last years top four.
Both teams struggled for momentum in a dour first half but the game burst into life after the interval as David Ngog and Tomas Rosicky went close.
Rosicky blasted over and Diaby then capped a period of Arsenal pressure by powering in from Rosicky’s cross.
Ryan Babel’s drive was tipped on to the bar but Liverpool could not level.

Aston Villa 1-1 Man Utd FT
Villa held on to deny 10-man Manchester United the chance to go top of the Premier League.
Carlos Cuellar looped a header over Edwin van der Sar from 12 yards out to put Villa ahead.
James Collins then diverted a Ryan Giggs effort into his own net before Nani was sent off for a dangerous challenge on Stilian Petrov.
But United then dominated with Michael Carrick, Antonio Valencia and Wayne Rooney spurning chances to win it.

Blackburn 1-0 Hull FT
Blackburn were deserving winners they were well on top missing and lots of chances they returned to the Premier League winners’ circle courtesy of a workmanlike victory over 10-man Hull.
Rovers took an early lead when Martin Olsson drilled home from a narrow angle off Hull keeper Boaz Myhill’s foot.
Hull took a further blow just before the break when George Boateng saw red for a foul on Morten Gamst Pedersen.
Myhill kept Hull in the hunt with a brilliant second-half save from Gael Givet, but the visitors could not fashion an equaliser.
It was a case of business as usual for Blackburn, who have been woeful away from Ewood Park this season but bettered in their Pennines stronghold only by Manchester City and Tottenham.

Everton 2-1 Chelsea FT
Two Saha Goal has given Everton the winEverton striker Louis
Florent Malouda put Chelsea ahead with a shot across goal but Saha headed Everton level from a corner after his clever run lost marker John Terry.The Everton striker smashed his second with a crisp finish after Terry failed to clear, while Didier Drogba later headed against the woodwork.The result was no less than Everton deserved after a performance of skill and determination – and it ensured that David Moyes’s 300th game as a Premier League manager ended with his first victory over Chelsea.The visiting team would have lost top spot if Manchester United had won at Aston Villa but Sir Alex Ferguson’s team were held to a 1-1 draw.

West Ham 2-0 Birmingham FT
The Hammers West Ham moved out of the relegation zone and eased the pressure on manager Gianfranco Zola with an invaluable win against Birmingham at Upton Park.
Alessandro Diamanti gave the Hammers a deserved lead on the stroke of half-time with a superb free-kick following a foul on Scott Parker by Scott Dann.
Carlton Cole doubled the advantage after the break with a close-range header from Julien Faubert’s cross.
A couple of half-chances from Cameron Jerome was the best Birmingham managed.

Wolves 1-0 Tottenham FT
Amazingly a struggling Wolves completed a league double over Tottenham with a much-needed and deserved home win which lifts them out of the relegation zone.
Wolves’ early endeavour was rewarded when Matt Jarvis’ cross was side-footed home first time by David Jones.
Earlier, Niko Kranjcar had seen a glorious chance from 12 yards superbly saved by home keeper Marcus Hahnemann.
Wolves’ lead was rarely troubled in the second half, with Wilson Palacios’ late shot Spurs’ only effort on target.
