Rory McIlroy leads the Abu Dhabi Championship with a five under 67, three ahead of Tiger Woods.
Northern Ireland’s McIlroy hit seven birdies and two bogies to remain one ahead of his country man Gareth Maybin.
”It was a good score, great way to start 2012, I didn’t drive it great and it needs to be better over the next three days. This course suits me really well, and five under is a good start so I have every chance” said McIlroy
Tiger Woods hit a steady 69 in a bogey free round. But he did miss a lot of putts that in previous years he may of holed.
“My long game was good, I controlled it well but the greens were different I never got the track of it, you have to drive the ball well here, Rory chipped and putted so well today” said Tiger
