Donegal boxer Jason Quigley will fight on the undercard of the WBO World Super-Welterweight title bout between Canelo Alvarez and Liam Smith.
The fight is scheduled to take place on the 17th of September in the AT&T Arena in Arlington, Texas with Quigley’s promoters Golden Boy confirming overnight that he will a part of what is expected to be a great night of boxing.
Quigley to date has won all 11 of his bouts in the professional ranks with the last of his wins coming against Mexico’s James De La Rosa in May this year. The 25 year old has only had two fights this year and before defeating De La Rosa he beat Freddy Lopez in the first round at Fantasy Springs in March.
Golden Boys, Canelo Alvarez ( 47-1-1, 33 KO’s) will take on unbeaten Smith ( 23-0-1, 13 KO’s) in the HBO pay per view bout at the home of Dallas Cowboys in the big fight of the night, and it sure to go right down to wire with both boxers been big hitters.
