Bertram Allen and Gin Chin van het Lindenhof have won Sunday’s four-star Longines Trophy Grand Prix at Maastricht in The Netherlands.
Seven of the 37 starters made it into the jump-off with Allen and the 12-year-old grey gelding posting the fastest of the four clears in the second round in 38.99 seconds.
The Wexford native claimed the top prize of €33,000 ahead of Dutch riders Gerco Schröder, riding Glock’s Cognac Champblanc (39.38 seconds) and Kim Emmen with Delvau in third in 40.61 seconds.
Darragh Kenny had the fastest time of 37.37 seconds in the jump-off with Balou du Reventon, but was unfortunate to knock one pole. The Offaly rider won €10,000 for his fourth place finish.
