Kilkenny hurlers suffer severe injuries

Reports this afternoon suggest that Brian Cody could be missing a number of senior players for the upcoming Allianz National Hurling League Final against Dublin.

Aidan Fogarty has broken his ankle in two places and it appears that he will be sidelined for 8 – 12 weeks. John Dalton has suffered damage to his ankle ligaments and while nothing is broken, he is expected to be out for 4 weeks.

Meanwhile, Michael Fennelly has broken a bone broken in his hand and is another that could be absent for up to 4 weeks.Richie Hogan twisted his ankle but is expected to be back in action before the league final, while Colin Fennelly is also believed to be on track to make the final despite picking up a slight knock.
