The news came after Croke Park officials and the revenue came to an agreement over the issue.

Referee expenses are set to be reduced throughout the country, a move that has annoyed many referees.

An unnamed Donegal referee told the Donegal Democrat: “Do they not realise that referees in Donegal travel long distances to games and with this system, with the price of petrol and the cost of running a car in this day and age, referees will not be able to afford to officiate at games.”
