Offaly v Antrim preview & team news

Offaly will look to put last week’s disappointment against Wexford and restart their campaign Antrim.

After blowing a nine point lead inside the final seven minutes last week the Leinster side will be desperate to put a victory in the column this week.

Ollie Baker’s side will face the supposedly easiest opposition they have in the coming weeks but are sure to take every challenge seriously after last week.

After all Antrim didn’t disgrace themselves against Clare and defeated the same Wexford side that made such a dramatic comeback against the Midlander’s last week.

They are by no means out of the promotion race something Jerry Wallace will be stressing to his side.

If they can manage enough scores from play to compliment the metronomic free-taking of Shane McNaughton they will have a chance in this one.

Team News

Antrim will be without several of their top performers as they lined out for victorious Loughgiel in the All Ireland Club Championship against Coolderry. Amongst these is Luke Watson who notched 3-7 in Saturday’s final.

Goalkeeper Senan McToal comes in for Chris O Connoll while Darren Hammill and Sean McLaughlin also start.
