Fermanagh v Kildare, Saturday, 7pm, Enniskillen
Kildare make the trip north to face Rory Gallagher’s Fermanagh in the Division 2 Allianz Football League on Saturday night. Fermanagh have been very unlucky in their two games, they drew both of them with Cork and Tipperary respectively. Kildare sit in second place in the table at present following a win and draw from two games. They beat Cork last weekend , however they drew with Armagh in Newbridge on the opening weekend.
A win for either side here will seriously put them in the recknowing for a top 2 spot, however we must emphasize it is only round 3 of 7 games. We will look at Fermanagh first they are very structured team and each player know what is required of them. In defence, Lee Cullen, Declan McCusker who started at centre back against Tipperary, James McMahon and John Cassidy are key. The midfield duo of Eoin Donnelly and Ryan Jones in my opinion are the most underated players in the country, the amount of work they through is unbelievable. In attack much will once again rely on Seamus Quigley, however players like Dan Teague, Conall Jones and Aidan Breen have stood up in recent games to take the pressure off the Roslea man.
In terms of betting despite been on home soil, Fermanagh are outsiders at 21/10, Cian O’Neill’s men are 8/15 to win and to bring back the 2 points home. The draw represents value at odds of 7/1.
Teams are yet to be announced
