Meath will have the likes of Donal Keogan, Mickey Burke and Padraic Harnan in defence, in attack Graham Reilly, Donal Lenihan and Cillian O’Sullivan are all vital players. These will need to be at their best to overturn the Premier county on Sunday afternoon. So looking at Tipperary, Liam Kearns has brought in former Cork footballer Paudie Kissane as coach of the side, Kissane was working with Clare last season. Much will rely on the scoring prowess of dynamic duo Michael Quinlivan and Conor Sweeney. The key for Tipperary will be to get the ball to these men on Sunday. If they do that they will have a very good chance of coming away from Navan with the win.

Odds

Meath are 4/7 favourites to win this game. The Premier county are 15/8 to make a winning start to the league campaign for 2019. The draw is priced up 8/1 and to be honest them odds are worth taking because I believe it will be very close. Michael Quilivan to score the first goal would be a good bet he is 9/2 in places to get it.
