Sean Power favourite to be next Waterford hurling manager

In the wake of Derek McGrath’s resignation, leading Irish bookmaker Paddy Power issued odds on who’s most likely to fill his shoes in Waterford.

Sean Power is favourite, but we’ve also seen a trickle of bets on ‘Mr Waterford’ himself, John Mullane.

“Derek McGrath isn’t the only one blubbering this morning. We’re gutted for the Deise. Sean Power (11/8) looks the most likely choice to step in. But maybe it’s time to consider fellow Waterford native Keith Barry as an option? Surely they could do with an assist from the famed mentalist who could work some magic on the team? Also, he loves his county, but at 25/1, also remains to be seen if John Mullane can save it from becoming the whipping boys of Munster,” a Paddy Power spokesperson said.
