  1. Michael O’Neill (Tyrone)- made some fantastic saves and kept Tyrone in the game

  2. Dermot Brady (Longford)- kept Bernard Allen very quite, deserves his place

  3. Kevin Maguire (Westmeath)- excellent going forward and in defence

  4. Eamonn McGee (Donegal)- was again outstanding in the full back line

  5. Frank McGlynn (Donegal)- opened the scoring and set up many attacks unlucky not to get a goal

  6. Karl Lacey (Donegal)- was outstanding for Donegal, key man on the team kicked an important point

  7. Peter Harte (Tyrone)- one of Tyrone’s best players on the day, excellent going forward.

  8. Martin McElhinney (Donegal)- scored 1-02 from play in the first half and picked up man of the match.

  9. John O’Loughlin (Laois)- kicked 0-02 from play dominated midfield

  10. Paul Conroy (Galway)- kicked 0-06 (5f) on a windy day in Carrick On Shannon

  11. Michael Quinn (Longford)- was pivotal to everything Longford did, worthy of place on the team.

  12. Ray Connellan (Westmeath)- debutant for the Lake County scored an excellent goal and set up many scores.

  13. Donie Kingston (Laois)- proved too hot for Carlow to handle, scored an excellent goal.

  14. John Heslin (Westmeath)- easy choice as he kicked 0-09 in total, 0-3 from play.

  15. Conor McAliskey (Tyrone)- kicked 0-03 for Tyrone, stood up when it counted.
