Eleven suspensions and fines totalling €7,000 have been given out to players involved in the brawl between Derrytresk and Dromid Pearses on Sunday, 22 January.

The GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee reviewed the scenes and talked to witnesses before deciding on the punishments, which will hit Tyrone sie Derrytresk harder.

Derrytresk have been fined around €5,000, with eight players receiving suspensions. Kerry side Dromid Pearses have received three suspensions and a fine of €2,000.

Derrytresk, who will face Galway side Clonbur in the All-Ireland Junior Club Football Championship on Sunday week, are likely to appeal against the decision.

Both teams will be able to take their case to the Central Hearings Committee, Appeals Committee and DRA.
