Sutcliffe ruled out of Dublin’s Championship opener

Danny Sutcliffe has been sidelined with a hand injury for Dublin’s Leinster SHC semi-final against Wexford on Saturday night.

The Dublin forward was one of the stars of the county’s league campaign. However, will not play any part on Saturday after he underwent surgery on a hand injury he sustained in a club match.

Dublin boss Anthony Daly will have to reshuffle his starting XV for the clash with injuries mounting in the Dublin camp.

All-star defender Liam Rushe is also a doubt for the Wexford match after sustaining a hamstring injury. David Treacy’s niggling quad muscle injury means that he is also an injury concern while first choice goalkeeper Gary Maguire will not feature for the Dubs after being ruled out of action with a broken thumb.

Dublin face Wexford this Saturday June 14 in the Leinster SHC semi-finals. Action commences from Wexford Park at 7pm.
