Top 10 forwards in hurling 2019

So with the 2019 season in full flow we will look at the top 10 forwards in the country for the 2019 season. We will count you down from 1 to 10. Let’s take a look

1 TJ Reid (Kilkenny) – The Ballyhale man is still the best in the business. He accuracy from frees is superb. He always plays well on the big days and he can be counted on just like Henry Shefflin was for Brian Cody.

2 Joe Canning (Galway) – Canning is a superb hurler as we all know. He like Reid is Galway’s go to man. The pressure had come off him since O’Donoghue had come in as boss a few years ago and that has allowed him to express himself a lot more.

3. Seamus Callanan (Tipperary) – Callanan is a massive player for Tipperary this year and is captain of the side. He is a real leader. He gets some superb goals and is very accurate from frees. Big year ahead for him.

4. Tony Kelly (Clare) – playing at centre forward the Ballyhea man directs proceedings in the Banner forward. He showed yet again why he is one of the best in the business at the weekend. Likely to have a big summer in the gold and blue.

5. Patrick Horgan – (Cork) – Cork’s best forward over the last few years and he remains it . He is a superb hurler when he gets going can win a game on his own. One of Corks leading stars over the last 10 years.

6.  Aaron Gillane (Limerick) – Gillane was one of Limerick’s best players last season in the All-Ireland Final. He has continued that form so far this year and is certainly one for the future

7. Marty Kavanagh (Carlow) – Carlow without Kavanagh is like a cup of tea without milk boring ! Kavanagh is the heart of the Carlow attack and he is one of the best forwards in the game at the minute.

8. Noel McGrath (Tipperary) – A wizard on and off the ball McGrath is a 2 time all stars .He is a superb talent gets scores from out of no where and directs the Tipperary forward line with Callanan.

9.  Conor McDonald (Wexford) – Still Wexford’s main man in attack. He hasn’t hit the lights out yet so far this year but come summer time I expect him to.

10. Padraig Boyle (Kerry) – superb forward for the Kingdom down through the years once again showing he has the capabilities of playing against the big sides.
