Tyrone v Mayo, Preview, Team News and live score updates

Tyrone v Mayo, Sunday, 2.30pm, Healy Park, Omagh

Healy Park is the venue for the tie of Tyrone v Mayo in their Allianz Football League meeting on Sunday. The respective sides opening weekends were mixed. Tyrone made the journey to Killarney to play Kerry where they lost out to a new look Kingdom side. Mayo on the other hand had a narrow victory over Roscommon at a very wet and windy Castlebar last Saturday night.

Tyrone were poor in the first half in Killarney kicking only 1 points, yes only 1 point and that was from a free from goalkeeper and Edendork club man Niall Morgan. They will need much better here this time around. Players like Matt Donnelly, Dan McCurry and Tiernan McCann put in good performances but they will to up it again here as James Horan’s Mayo come to town. I expect Peter Harte to have a massive game as well. Now to Mayo again they done well last weekend to get that win in dreadful conditions, players like Paddy Durcan, new boy Brian Reape and Jason Doherty who made his 100th Mayo appearance last weekend.

Tyrone are the favourites here to get their first win of the league at 1/2 and James Horan’s charges are 2/1 outsiders they may be worth a few quid but Tyrone at home are difficult to beat. The draw is 15/2. I expect Tyrone to win to make amends for that 4 point defeat in Killarney.
