Another weekend of GAA club action commences on Saturday with some cracking looking fixtures in both codes.
On Saturday there are 4 big games down for decision. First up is the Wicklow SFC Replay between Rathnew and St Patrick’s at 3pm in Aughrim. The Limerick SHC Final between Doon and Na Piarsaigh at the Gaelic Grounds underlights at 7.30pm. The Westmeath SHC Final also takes place with Raharney facing Clonkill in Mullingar at 3.30pm. The Munster Ladies SFC Club Final also takes places and it pits Ballymacabry of Waterford against Mourneabbey of Cork, that game takes place at 4pm in Cahir, Co Tipperary.
On Sunday there are loads of game for decision across all four provinces. In the Leinster club football championship Shelmaliers of Wexford take on Dunboyne of Meath in Wexford Park at 1.30pm, Westmeath champions Mullingar Shamrocks will face Kildare champions Moorefield in Mullingar also at 1.30pm, while Rathnew or St Patrick’s who play on the previous day will come up against Rhode in Aughrim with a 1.30pm throw in. In Munster, the Clare SFC Final between Ennistymon take on Miltown-Malbay in Ennis at 3pm, while the Kerry SFC Final between Dr Crokes and Dingle is down for decision in Tralee at 3pm. St Finbars will play Duhallow in the Cork SFC Final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh. The Tipperary and Waterford SFC Final’s are also down for decision on Sunday with Ardfinnan taking on Moyle Rovers in Tipperary, while in Waterford Kilrossanty take on the Nire at Fraher Field at 6pm.
Also on Sunday there are several exciting hurling fixtures down for decision. In the Munster club hurling championship Ballygunner of Waterford take on Midleton at Walsh Park at 1.30pm. In the Ulster club hurling championship Slaughtneill play Ballycran of Down in the Ulster club semi-final at Corrigan Park with a 2.30pm throw in. In Antrim the senior hurling county final also takes place with Cushendall taking on Loughiel in Ballycastle at 3pm. In what will surely be an entertaining game in Nowlan Park Ballyhale Shamrocks will come up against Bennettsbridge in the Kilkenny county hurling final. This game throws in at 3pm and is on TG4. The Dublin SHC Final replay is also to be played with Ballyboden facing Kilmacud Crokes at Parnell Park with a 3.30pm throw in. The weekend’s GAA action finishes with the Dublin senior football final on Bank Holiday Monday with Kilmacud Crokes playing St Judes at 5pm in Parnell Park. The game is live on TG4.
