Weekend GAA Hurling Tips

Only 5 hurling games are down for decision this weekend with football taking the back seat for a week. Do not fear though we have our weekly accumulator for you and it is a good one so take a look at it below. I also give my reason why I picked each selection.

Limerick and Laois meet in the quarter final on Saturday but we have no selection from that because no value. So our first bet of the weekend to add to your accumulator is Tipperary to beat Cork at 11/8. This game is 50/50 but Tipperary have a very strong forward line with Seamus Callanan, John O’Dwyer and John McGrath all set to feature. I can see them having the greater scoring threat, therefore my selection would be for them to beat John Meyler’s Cork albeit in Pairc Ui Rinn on Sunday.

The second selection of the weekend is Wexford to beat Kilkenny at 6/4. Davy Fitzgerald will have side primed for this in a winner takes all affair, the winner will progress to the quarter finals. Wexford will not fear Kilkenny in Wexford Park. They have a good attack with players hitting form such as Cathal Dunbar, Ian Byrne and Liam Og McGovern. It will be a very close game but home advantage with a big support could swing it in the Slaneysiders favour.

The third selection is Offaly to beat Carlow at 4/7. Offaly easily seen off Carlow in their final group game last weekend. This game has a lot at stake considering relegation is on the table. They won 4-08 to 1-10 last weekend, a 7 point win, I can’t see Carlow making up them 7 points in a week. Offaly to win but just about.

The fourth and final selection is Galway to beat Waterford on Sunday in Walsh. This game is 50-50 with the bookmakers with both sides at even money. Galway though to me have a greater scoring threat in attack, Jason Flynn, Joe Canning, Conor Whelan and Davy Glennon to name just four players that will once again start. At even money they would be the selection.

Summary

Tipperary beat Cork 11/8

Wexford beat Kilkenny 6/4

Offaly beat Carlow 4/7

Galway beat Waterford Evens

Total Odds : 18/1
