Aston Villa have completed the signing of Genk striker Christian Benteke in a reported £7million deal.
The 21-year-old Belgian International has signed a four-year deal at Villa Park after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
The Congo born forward came to prominence last season when he scored 18 goals for Gent and he has carried that form into the new season with three goals in five games so far.
The 6ft 5” striker made his International debut against Bulgaria in 2010 and has five caps to date, scoring his first goal in the recent 4-2 win over Holland.
Speaking to Sky sports News a delighted Benteke said “I am still young and I have realised my dream. My dream was to come here and I am very happy,”

“It was difficult and I say thank you to Genk and everyone there. I will go forward for a new challenge.
“I think every player wants to come to the Premier League and I am very happy.”
