Camphire International Horse Trials – Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th July

The Sema Lease Camphire International Horse Trials begin in Co. Waterford on Wednesday, 24th July, as horses and riders from a record 16 different nations compete.

This year, Camphire will host the Irish leg of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup Series, taking over from Millstreet, Co. Cork, which hosted the event in 2018.

Competitors from countries such as China, Japan and New Zealand will be joined by riders from across Europe, with eight teams set to do battle in the FEI Nations Cup – seeking to win the FEI’s Silver Salver and House of Waterford Crystal’s magnificent Crystal trophy.

Camphire will stage seven international competitions between Wednesday and Sunday, with a total of 330 entries. In addition 70 horses will take part in the Masterclasses for 4 and 5-year-old horses, sponsored by Horse Sport Ireland.

Camphire is located 10 mins from Cappoquin, Lismore and Tallow in West Waterford and 15 minutes from Youghal, Co. Cork. For patrons attending, the eircode for Camphire is P51 H5P2.
