Celtus could run in Adonis hurdle

Nicky Henderson, who last year gave Soldatino his British debut in the Grade 2 Racingpost.com Adonis Juvenile Hurdle, could repeat the feat this year with Celtus.
Similar to Soldatino, the four-year-old would be having his first start in Britain, and the French-bred also holds an entry in the JCB Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Henderson could also run Molotof in the race, for which 16 have been entered, including First Fandango who is unbeaten over hurdles for Tim Vaughan, and Kazzene, a course and distance winner earlier in the year.

Celtus also holds an entry in the Grade 2 Williamhill.com Dovecote Novices’ Hurdle, with stablemate and Tolworth winner Minella Class one of 18 possibles for the race. The six-year-old also holds an entry for Huntingdon on Thursday.

The other Grade 2 on the card, the Racing Post Weekender Pendil Novices’ Chase has attracted 14 entries, with 153-rated Captain Chris featuring for Philip Hobbs.
