Downpatrick race on Wednesday afternoon with a 2.10 starting time.
The evening meetings have now come to a close and Dundalk provides the only late night racing for punters right through to Christmas.
Wee Giant should be good enough to take a moderate opening contest for the Mullins/Walsh combination. Although taking time to acclimatise to his new surrounding the Giants Causeway 4-y-o ran his best race to date when second at Galway last time. Before that he had shown plenty of promise when runnerup at Tramore. Having shown he handled the stiff Ballybrit hill, he should be capable of staying on strongly at the business end here.
Lets Go Sunshine was well fancied when behind Coolavanny Gaffer at Kilbeggan last time and may see off Golan Guy in the 2m 7f maiden hurdle at 3.15. The former looks a thorough stayer and can outbattle the more exposed Martin inmate up the stiff uphill finish here.
Your Busy would certainly prefer a longer trip than the 2m 2f he faces in the Beginners Chase at 3.50, but the stiff track should suit James Nash’s charge and he can complete a double on the card for Ruby Walsh. With a couple of frontrunners in the lineup, the field look certain to go a good gallop and this will play to the selections strengths. He has been found an ideal opportunity to open his account over fences and it will be disappointing if he cannot capitalise.
Advice: No Bets On The Card.
