Michael G Duffy & Chappo Chey win 1m50 speed competition at Verona World Cup Show

Mayo man Michael G Duffy won the top prize in the opening 1m50 speed competition at the five-star World Cup show in Verona, Italy.

Twenty-one-year-old Duffy, who was drawn to jump towards the end of the competition with the 9-year-old gelding Chappo Chey, took full advantage of the late draw to produce a winning clear round in 62.27 seconds.

Swedish rider Henrik von Eckermann with Que Bueno de Hus Z was second in 63.99 seconds, with his compatriot Petronella Andersson and Eclatant taking the final spot on the podium in 64.67 seconds.
