Champion chaser Sizing Europe looks set to run in the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown on Saturday.
Henry De Bromhead’s stable star won the Queen Mother in Cheltenham last March and is reverting to the minimum trip after having a couple of outings over further.
“Sandown is the plan at the moment, he seems in good form and we’ll give it a go,” the Waterford handler told At The Races.
The speed king was a lucky winner of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Champion Chase on his reappearane but was beaten in the JNwine.com Champion Chase earlier this month.
“It was obviously a fairly tough race the last day but he seems in good form now and we’re happy to let him take his chance at Sandown, ” the trainer added.
“For the moment we’ll concentrate on two to two-and-a-half miles, but I wouldn’t rule out going back up three at some time probably on better ground than he had at Down Royal.”
