WWE’s Irish Superstar Jordan Devlin will once again fight on home turf as he takes on current OTT champion WALTER in the main event of Scrappermania V at Dublin’s 2,200 seat National Stadium on March 16th. The biggest night of the year for Ireland’s booming Pro Wrestling scene will see stars from all over the world fly in for a night of fights themed as “Ireland Vs. The World.”
Alongside this title fight, some of the biggest names from the UK, Europe, the USA and Japan will face off in the ring, as Dublin’s wild child “The Session Moth” Martina takes on feared female Meiko Satomura, and Irish up-and-comer Scotty Davis squares off against Japan’s living legend Jushin Thunder Liger. Renowned UK trio British Strong Style are also slated to appear.
Bray native Devlin, who has been singled out by wrestling legend Shawn Michaels as WWE UK’s next breakout star, has acknowledged that reclaiming his OTT World Championship from WALTER will be one of the toughest battles of his career.
The 135kg Austrian has held titles all over the world and last year ended Devlin’s impressive 22-month win streak. Speaking about the fight, Jordan, who goes by the moniker “The Irish Ace” said “Walter is one of the most impressive fighters on the planet right now, and I know some people are already writing me off. But Walter is going to learn – you never bet against The Ace.” OTT’s Scrappermania V comes to Dublin’s National Stadium on March 16th as part of a jampacked St. Patrick’s Weekend, which also sees OTT host a wrestling themed stand-up comedy night at Whelan’s on Friday March 15th.
