Armory being aimed at Galileo Irish EBF Futurity Stakes at The Curragh

Aidan O’Brien’s Armory, an impressive five length winner of the Group 3 Tyros Stakes at Leopardstown last week, looks set to be aimed at the Galileo Irish EBF Futurity Stakes at The Curragh.

The son of Galileo won a maiden at The Curragh prior to his Leopardstown win last week, while resulted in the colt being quoted at 14-1 for the 2020 QIPCO 2000 Guineas at Newmarket next May.

A fast but steady progression will now see the colt aimed at the Group 2 Galileo Irish EBF Futurity Stakes over seven furlong at Irish flat racing’s headquarters on 23rd August.

Commenting on Armory, the Ballydoyle handler said:

“I was very happy with him, and he seems to have taken the race well. Ryan (Moore) was very pleased, and it was the first time he had ridden him. We are looking at stepping him up in class and going to the Futurity with him.”
