Tadhg O’Shea completes double at Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club

Former Champion Irish apprentice jockey Tadhg O’Shea rode a double at Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club on Wednesday.

In the Al Wukair Cup Muraqabah won her sixth race in her 15 start career when the Irishman guided the 5 year old to a length victory over Abrar, with both the winner and runner-up trained by Jassim Mohammed Ghazali.

O’Shea also team up with Ghazali to win the Purebred Arabian Handicap over 1,700m when he rode 6 year old Fawaz to a narrow success, following on from the horse’s defeat over the same course and distance a month ago. Fawaz edged out Ali Baba by a short head with another Jassim Mohammed Ghazali runner Al Yem back in third.

O’Shea also has a number of mounts today at the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club where they race on Wednesdays and Thursdays until 11th May 2017.
