Connacht Rugby Pool Draw & Fixture Dates for 2018/19 European Challenge Cup

The draw for the 2018/19 European rugby challenge cup has been made and Connacht rugby have been drawn in pool 3.

Connacht have a new coach in Andy Friend as Kieran Keane was sacked after what was a very poor season for the club on and off the field.  So the former 7s Australian Coach Friend will be looking forward to a run to the semi-final next season at worst. A win in the quarter-final would have been enough last season to guarantee a Champions Cup rugby place.

Connacht were drawn second seeds with their main challenge being top seeds Sale Sharks. A trip to the AJ Bell Stadium in Manchester will be a must for most Connacht fans. The game that Connacht fans will be looking forward most is a trip to Bordeaux.  Where the take on Bordeaux begles.

The fourth seeds in the group look to be one of the toughest with Perpignan, meaning its definitly the group of death in the Challenge up.

We will have comments from Connacht and sources later in the day.

We will have the fixture dates next week when they are announced.
