eir sport has revealed an experienced and exciting panel for the Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan, with former Ulster and Ireland player Tommy Bowe fronting the sports broadcaster’s coverage.
eir sport, the primary rights holder in Ireland, is the only broadcaster which will show all 48 games live, including all of Ireland’s matches, and will also have a daily highlights show.
Bowe will be joined by a panel of former Ireland internationals when the 2019 Rugby World Cup kicks off on 20th September.
Among the panellists are Gordon D’Arcy, Peter Stringer and Jerry Flannery, while current Irish women’s international players Eimear Considine and Louise Galvin will also form part of the eir sport team. Commentator Conor Morris will be joined by former Leinster and Munster flanker Liam Toland.
Joe Schmidt’s Ireland side will kick off their campaign on 22nd September against Guinness 6 Nations rivals Scotland before games against the host nation Japan on 28th September, Russia on 3rd October and Samoa on 12th October.
