Ireland’s 32-man squad for the Six Nations was announced today, with Declan Kidney including five uncapped players .
The uncapped Simon Zebo and David Kearney are rewarded after impressing during the Irish Wolfhounds 23-27 loss to England Saxons on Friday, with both wings scoring tries.
Peter O’Mahony, Eoin O’Malley and Brett Wilkinson are all also uncapped, while Dan Tuohy, Denis Hurley, Chris Henry and Rhys Ruddock were also drafted into the squad.
The only player to drop out of the squad announced last week is Leo Cullen, who will have surgery on his Achilles tendon. Experienced internationals Tomas O’Leary and Isaac Boss also failed to make the squad.
Kidney will name his starting line-up for Saturday’s Six Nations opener with Wales on Wednesday.
