Joe Schmidt has named his side to face Argentina at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday in Ireland’s second game of the Guinness Autumn International series. As expected a host of front-line players who missed Ireland’s 54 – 7 victory over Italy in Chicago return to the fold. In all only three players are retained from last weeks win. Jacob Stockdale, Bundee Aki and Jordan Larmour are all retained.
A whole new forwards pack will start Saturday’s game. The front row sees Cian Healy and Tadhg Furlong on either side of Captain Rory Best. In the second row Iain Henderson and James Ryan pair up, while the back row is comprised of Peter O’Mahoney, Sean O’Brien and C.J. Stander.
As expected Kieran Marmion and Johnny Sexton are the half-backs pairing, while a familiar centre pairing of Bundee Aki and Robbie Henshaw are flanked by Jacob Stockdale and Keith Earls. In-form Jordan Larmour is retained at full-back and will home to build on his fantastic display in Chicago.
