Leinster Rugby will be the first of the Irish teams in action in this weekend’s European Champions Cup semi-finals when the three time winners host Welsh side Scarlets at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with a 3.30pm kick-off.
Last season’s Guinness PRO12 winners Scarlets are on the brink of a first European Cup final appearance as they take on this season’s number-one ranked team, who achieved impressive back-to-back victories this season over reigning European Champions Saracens.
Head Coach Leo Cullen has named his side for the fixture with Rob Kearney, at fullback, being joined by Fergus McFadden on the right wing and Isa Nacewa on the opposite.
Robbie Henshaw will play his first game for his side since the Round 6 game away to Montpellier last January. He will be partnered in the centre by Garry Ringrose who will wear the number 13 shirt.
Leinster’s captain Johnny Sexton is joined in the half backs by Jamison Gibson-Park, while the pack consists of an all-Irish international front and second row. Cian Healy, Seán Cronin and Tadhg Furlong make up the front row while Devin Toner and James Ryan are the starting second row.
Leo Cullen has named the same back row that started against Saracens in the Champions Cup quarter-final with Scott Fardy, Dan Leavy and Jordi Murphy chosen.
Jack Conan and Jordan Larmour both return from injury to take their place on the replacements bench.
