Leinster rugby have made a total of eight changes ahead of their RaboDirect PRO12 semi-final against Ulster Kick off 7pm Saturday.
Sean O’Brien, who recently returned from injury, is named on the bench in what is a strong line-up. Other big names to return to the starting fifteen after last week’s win over Edinburgh include Cian Healy, Sean Cronin and Martin Moore in the pack. They are joined their by Mike McCarthy, who retains his place in the team.
Elsewhere, Jamie Heaslip will captain the team once more. Other notable selections include Eoin Reddan, who will make his 100th appearance for the Province.
Speaking ahead of the match, head coach Matt O’Connor was full of praise for his team’s opponents. “Already this year we have had two incredibly difficult physical and enthralling games against them (Ulster) and I have no doubt tomorrow will be no different.”
The other talking point within the team selection is the news that Jimmy Gopperth will start at the ten ahead of Ian Madigan. The last time the two sides met a fortnight ago, Leinster came away from Ravenhill 22-20 winners.
Paddy Jackson scored all of Ulster’s points on that occasion in a man of the match performance. Kick off is at 7pm in the RDS.
