Munster Rugby News – Foley inducted into hall of fame

Munster Rugby legend Anthony Foley has been inducted into the hall of fame at the club, the award was accepted by Olive Foley at clubs awards at the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs in Cork.

Foley showed what it meant for him to play for Munster when he played, he was the heartbeat of the side and was so ever grateful on and off the field. Across a glittering career in the Red, he amassed over 200 appearances, while he also captained the side to success in the Heineken Cup.

In addition to the hall of fame award, the Munster player of the year was also announced. Keith Earls who had a magnificent year for club and Country was named Munster Player of the Year, while the young player of the year went to the impressive Sammy Arnold. The academy player of the year went to Fineen Wycherley.

Munster play Ulster this weekend at Thomond Park and after that they will now who they face in the semi-final of the pro 14 tournament.
