Ronaldo or Messi? The age-old debate that every football fan has found themselves entwined in at one stage or another.

Just over 16 years ago, Ronaldo netted his first goal for his country at the EURO 2004 competition where they would go on to lose the final to Greece in of the tournament’s biggest ever upsets.

However, Ronaldo would lead his team to victory in the same competition 12 years later as Portugal clinched the EURO 2016 trophy.
