Former Republic of Ireland senior international and now Under-18 Head Coach, Andy Reid, has named 18 players in his first squad for the International Friendly double-header in Turkey this week.

The Irish side travel to Turkey on Monday afternoon for their first match against the home side on Thursday morning, with the second game being played two days later.

The former international midfielder says he is looking forward to the challenge his new role presents:

“I’m delighted with the squad we have been able to assemble. There’s a good mix of players in the group, and there is plenty for us to work on ahead of what will be two tough games in Turkey. It’s an opportunity for the players to catch my eye.”
