Champions League 4th Round draw – Who will Dundalk play?

Dundalk hit the Jackpot last night when they defeated Bate Borisov 3-1 on Aggregate to qualify for the Playoffs of the Champions League.

It is the first time that an Irish Club has reached this stage in 12 years and all attention is now on who the Lillywhites are likely to face in a possible money spinning tie.

As a result of winning the Airtricity league last season Dundalk will be placed in the champions section of the draw and as a result avoid a couple of big guns like Manchester City, Roma, Porto and Villareal.

A lot of the ties on Dundalk’s side of the draw have yet to be decided but here is what we know at the moment.

Dundalk will not be seeded and at the moment they are joined by Ludogrets and Dinamo Zagreb in their side of the draw and they will face off against possibly Apoel or Victoria Pilzen.

That is all we know for now but there is still a possibility of Dundalk locking horns with the likes of Olympiacos, Copenhagen and most intriguing of all Celtic.
