RTE announce Live League of Ireland fixtures

RTE Sport announced on Tuesday revamped coverage of the SSE Airtricity League with Friday night soccer to kick off this coming Friday on our screens on RTE 2 as well as the RTE Player.

The first game of 18 games to be broadcast by the national broadcaster will be live on the 15th of February with Peter Collins presenting the game between Dundalk and Sligo Rovers live from Oriel Park at 7.45pm, coverage begins on the channel from 7.30pm. The panelists on the evening will be Stuart Byrne and Richie Sadlier. George Hamilton will be the match commentator alongside Pat Fenlon. In addition to that live game, Friday Night Soccer will have coverage of the nights games as well as reaction up until 10.30pm.

The broadcaster have also announced other live games on Friday nights with Dundalk playing Cork on the 29th of March, Cork v Shamrock Rovers on April 5th, while Derry v Shamrock Rovers will also be televised on the 19th of April. RTE’s weekly soccer show Soccer Republic will return next week on Monday 18th February at 7.30pm. Saturday Sport,RTE Radio 1anf Game on 2fm will also have regular updates and news of games.

Action gets under way on Friday night from Oriel Park.
