Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is eyeing a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
The former Arsenal and Barcelona man was left out of manager Antonio Conte’s starting line-up against West Ham United on Monday night has been widely tipped to move to Real Madrid but it could be complicated according to Zinedine Zidane
The 29 year old Spanish midfielder joined Chelsea in 2014 from Barcelona and played a key role in their Premier League title win. But, the season gone by, 2015/16 he struggled to replicate a similar showing and this cost Jose Mourinho his job halfway through the campaign. Conte’s arrival this summer has now left Fabregas’ position in midfield come into question as the 47 year old Italian is more in favour of powerful and robust midfielders, rather than a play maker. According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Fabregas has decided to call quits on his career with the West London club with Conte preferring the likes of Matic, Oscar and Kante ahead of him.
Catalan newspaper Sport has said that Farbregas’ agent has held talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez over a possible move to the Bernabeu, while Seria A holder Juventus are also set to have a strong interest in the player. It remains to be seen if double UEFA European Championship winner will stay at the Blues or go elsewhere, but according to these reports Fabregas is on the look for a new club.
