Tottenham and English midfielder Dele Ali has signed a new contract keeping him at the club till at least 2024.
Ali joined from MK Dons in 2015 has committed from the club having been involved in discussions over the summer months and the news is now confirmed. Ali who is still only 22 years of age will have at least another 6 years at the club and he will of course will receive an increase in his wages. He is just one of a number of Spurs stars who signed deals over the course of the summer which seen Harry Kane, Heung Min Son, Davison Sanchez, Erik Lamela and Harry Winks all put pen to paper on new contracts.
Ali released the news on his Instagram page to followers, he said “Delighted to have signed a new contract until 2024. “Would like to say a big thank you to everyone at the club – chairman, manager, all my teammates and the fans for their constant support. “I’ve loved my time at @spursofficial so far and I’m very excited to see what the future holds! ? #COYS”.
Ali has been a key player for Maurico Pochettino and has made 112 Premier League scoring 38 goals for the club and 26 assists. In comparsion he has made more more than Steve Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Paul Scholes at the same age. Ali has established himself also as a key part of Gareth Southgate’s England side winning 31 caps to date. Spurs fans will be hoping players like Jan Vertoghen and Christian Eriksen follow suit in also signing deals with news they both are also in discussions with the club.
