It looks as though for the French goalkeeping veteran that his time at Tottenham may be coming to a close.
Lloris has expressed numerous times his desire to play somewhere else before he retires.
With the goalkeeper at the age of 33, Tottenham may be looking to cash in before his contract expires in 2022.
Reports claim that Tottenham have been eyeing up potential replacements for Lloris with the intention of selling him this summer.
Spurs have been linked with five potential goalkeepers that could fill the shoes of the number one position.
Candidates such as Liles Mike Maignan, Ajax’s Onana, Utds Henderson, II Tempo’s Strakosha and finally Tottenham’s own Joe Hart.
Joe Hart was an extremely smart purchase from Spurs that brought Hart to the club on a free transfer from Burnley.
The former Premier League winner has bags of experience to bring to the table and with 75 international caps to his name, could fill the void temporarily.
Rumours are beginning to circulate that Hart could be the new number one as Lloris was benched for the important Europa League game against LASK last Thursday night.
This may be an unlikely choice for Lloris’s replacement given that Hart is of a similar age.
Only time will tell as Joe Hart may well be in the number one jersey on Monday night in Tottenham’s next game against Burnley.
