Barcelona (0) v Chelsea (1)
Champions League semi-final second leg
Chelsea take a one-nil lead to Spain on Tuesday evening for the second-leg of their Champions League semi-final tie, after Didier Drogba’s strike last week.
Barcelona: Lionel Messi missed training on Sunday after picking up a slight knock in the 2-1 defeat by Real Madrid on Saturday. However, he returned on Monday afternoon and is not thought to be a doubt for Tuesday’s game. Defender Gerard Pique is hoping to be fit after missing both the first leg at Stamford Bridge last week and the defeat by Real Madrid. Otherwise, Barca are only missing Spanish striker David Villa, who suffered a broken leg earlier in the season, and defender Eric Abidal, who has undergone a liver transplant.
Chelsea: Didier Drogba missed Saturday’s Premier League draw at Arsenal with a knee injury but is expected to be fit for the crucial tie. Defender David Luiz travelled with the squad to Spain on Monday, even though he is expected to miss the game with a hamstring injury.
Branislav Ivanovic, Ashley Cole, Luiz, Ramires and Raul Meireles are all one booking away from an automatic one-game ban which would mean missing the Champions League final, if Chelsea were to progress at the Nou Camp.
