Justin McMahon has been ruled out of the Tyrone side in the National Football League Division 2 final against Kildare with a hamstring injury.
The Omagh St. Enda’s all star will miss Sundays National Football League Division 2 final against Kildare this Sunday. McMahon has failed to recover in time following a hamstring injury picked up two weeks ago while playing for his club.
Martin Penrose has returned to full training with the squad after missing the previous three league games with a dislocated shoulder.
According to Tyrone assistant manager Tony Donnelly, Penrose is unlikely to feature in the encounter with the Lillie whites but will be in contention for a place on the panel. The management feel the player hasn’t sufficient training put in and is not fully fit to face Kieran McGeeney’s men who have been away in a training camp in Portugal recently. The return of Penrose to the squad will undoubtedly be a big boost for Tyrone.
Donnelly also stated that Joe McMahon will feature for Tyrone at some stage in the contest after recovering from a knee injury. The player has done a full session this week and is almost at full fitness.
