Team news ahead of the Premier League clash between Chelsea and QPR
Roberto di Matteo’s side will return to League action following their midweek Champions League heroics in the Camp Nou without central defender Gary Cahill.
The former Bolton star suffered a hamstring injury during the first half of the clash with Barcelona and faces a race to fit for the FA cup final next weekend.
With David Luiz is out also and Branislav Ivanovic serving the final game of a domestic suspension, Di Matteo has only John Terry to call upon.
Jose Boswinga or Micheal Essien could come in to the backline as an emergency centre back while Ryan Bertrand could get another opportunity to shine following his impressive turn against Arsenal last time out.
Should Boswinga start then Paulo Ferreira is line to feature at right back.
Mark Hughes returns to Stamford Bridge without suspended midfielder Adel Taarabt. The former Blackburn manager has also doubts over Samba Diakite and Djibril Cisse
Diakite hasn’t trained all week due to illness while French forward Cisse is struggling with a knee injury.
