Offaly vs Meath minor hurling preview & live GAA score updates

Offaly vs Meath preview & live GAA score updates in the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship, O’ Connor Park, Saturday, 7pm

After narrowly losing to a tenacious Wexford side in the last round of games, Offaly will be looking to bounce back against Meath on Saturday night at O’Connor Park.
The Faithful are strong favourites going into this match but manager John Leahy is urging his players to keep their wits about them and not let the favourite tag allow his side become complacent.
“We won’t be taking them lightly, but the unfortunate thing about it is the perception that Offaly are going to win this game – no matter if we beat them by 20 points or a point you won’t get the praise for doing so. We are only interested in getting over the finish line,” said Leahy.
“I wouldn’t like to be travelling to Navan on Saturday evening for a game a 7 o’clock, so to have home advantage is absolutely crucial.”

The Royals haven’t been given much of a prayer going into Saturday evening’s clash despite coming off the back of some good showings and certainly will not be a pushover for the home side.

Both teams enjoy the comfort of selecting their first choice teams although it may be that Offaly have just a bit more class than their opponents and will be fancied to clock their first win of the championship.
