Juventus and Italian legend Alessandro del Piero has put a host of English club’s on red alert by admitting he plans to carry on playing.
The 37 year old has emerged as a transfer target for London trio Arsenal, Spurs and QPR after admitting his could never play for another Serie A club.
The former Italian International won six Serie A titles, his most recent winners medal coming in the campaign just passed, and one champions titles during a 19 year career in Turin which due to a close with a Coppa Italia loss to Napoli.
Despite being just three years shy of his 40th birthday the World cup winner claims he wants to play on telling the Gazzetta dello Sport “Over the next few days I’ll go through all the possible alternatives when I’m on holiday in the sun,”
“Then I’ll decide where to play next year, and I’m certain it will be abroad. I’m not excluding anything.
“I don’t think I’ll be playing in the Champions League or in a particular league, I’ll choose the best solution for me and my family will follow me.
“I’d like to thank all of the Italian teams who have approached me with offers. But obviously I could never play in Italy for any other team.”
