Sent of at the unbelievable odds of 1/10 Frankel cantered all over his rivals in the 1m contest to extend his unbeaten sequence to twelve wins from as many starts in his wonderful career.

Settled in fourth place off a steady gallop set by his lead horse and half brother Bullet Train, Frankel was always travelling with tremendous ease and when Queally pushed the button on the son of Galileo two furlongs out the response was instant and he stretched away in breathtaking style to score from old rival Excelebration and outsider Side Glance who finished in third place.

Frankel’s trainer Sir Henry Cecil said in a packed winners enclosure after the race “He is just a great, great, horse. You all saw what he did out there so everyone can form their own opinion of him.

“He did exactly what I thought but he is still improving and can get better. He looks like he will stay a mile and a quarter but he will tell me what to do.”

Equally delighted was winning jockey Tom Queally who said “It’s great that he did it. He looks like a great horse. He settled, travelled and did everything on the bridle.

“This would have to be his best performance. He ticked all the right boxes and did everything right. He was flawless today.”
