The Anfield outfit have been struggling to close out a deal for Hoffenheim midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson with the former Reading starlet reportedly set for White Hart Lane.

That could see Brendan Rodgers switch his sights to Moses, who looks set to leave the DW Stadium this summer.

Wigan have already turned down a 4 million pound bid from Chelsea for the winger and are believed to be holding out for a sum closer to 8 million pound as they are due to pay Crystal Palace 20% of any transfer fee received.

Moses, who is entering the final year of his contract, can also play up front and scored six goals last season for the Lactic’ s impressing in the club’s late fight against the drop.

The Nigerian born 21 year old played underage football for England but has since declared to play for country of birth.
