Paddy Bradley out of Ulster championship

Derry’s star forward Paddy Bradley looks set to miss his county’s Ulster Senior Football Championship campaign, after suffering a serious knee injury at the weekend.

Bradley was playing for his club Glenullin in a local game against Bellaghy, when he sustained suspected cruciate ligament damage. His absence would be a huge setback to Derry as they prepare for their clash with Fermanagh in the first round of the championship.

The player had been one of the Oak Leaf county’s best forwards in recent years but he left the panel during last seasons qualifiers and only returned to action this year, when John Brennan took over as county manager and asked Bradley to rejoin the panel.
