Cork delay naming due to injuries

The Cork senior football team have delayed naming their side for Sunday’s Allianz National Football League Final against Dublin, as they are still waiting on the fitness of a number of key players.

Star midfielder, Aidan Walsh,is a major doubt with a hamstring problem, while Paul Kerrigan picked up a similar injury in action for his club last weekend. Ciaran Sheehan is also a doubt after injuring his ankle playing with CIT on Monday evening.

“We won’t know until later on in the week really. We will make a decision on Aidan and Paul and Ciarán, who is another injury doubt as well, later in the week. We will leave it go down to the wire before we make a call on that,” said Cork manager Conor Counihan.
