Kilkenny’s Eoin Larkin and John Dalton will face a nervous few days as they are investigated by the Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC), after incidents in Sunday’s National Hurling League Final.
Larkin looks certain to receive at least a month’s suspension after being given straight red card, following a clash with Dublin’s Conor McCormack in the first half.
Dalton was involved in an incident just before half-time and this will also be reviewed by the CCCC. The corner-back twice clashed with Dublin’s Conor McCormack and was lucky to escape without a card. But video evidence would indicate that he could face a suspension
The two Kilkenny players will find out later this week if they pick up bans that would rule them out of the opening Leinster championship match against either Wexford, Laois or Antrim on June 11.
